More flexibility when concluding a rental agreement
Rudolf de Boer, Managing Director at CBRE, believes that flexible offices have become an indispensable part of the market. “We see this growing demand for more flexibility as an irreversible development. Office users have different needs.” The new trend means new opportunities and challenges for office building owners. This includes, among other things, the position of the office building on the rental market. De Boer: “It is no longer self-evident that office users enter into contracts for a period of ten years. Tenants want more flexibility when concluding a rental agreement. This can cause more fluctuation in rental income for the owner of an office. And office users no longer only see flexible concepts as a way to control costs, but also increasingly as a way to innovate, collaborate with other entrepreneurs, and retain talent.
