"What on earth does a beer have to do with a decentralized system?"

Recently, I came across something interesting, and although the author is unknown, it truly hits the heart of our current society. Service and customer support? They seem like things of the past, even though we still pay for them. This made me think and strengthened my conviction to choose the Core system, which is now being rolled out further—a system where you hold the reins and set your own rules. Curious? Then read on!
‘I’ve owned a wonderful hospitality business for 25 years and am frustrated by the reduced level of service due to the agreements of ING, ABN AMRO, Rabobank, and other banks, which have resulted in the disappearance of all bank branches in my area. Depositing money or getting answers to questions has become a real hassle.
If a bank director were to walk into my business, I wouldn’t be able to resist applying the same attitude and rules as the banks:
First, I’d let him sit in a chair for about thirty minutes. I’d then ask, with a faint hint of interest, what he’d like to order. He might say coffee with apple pie, and I’d inform him that we only serve apple pie between 9:00 and 10:00 AM.
Then, he might try ordering a La Trappe Dubbel, but I’d tell him we only serve that on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7:00 and 8:30 PM. Frustrated, he’d settle on a draft beer. So, I’d bring him behind the bar and inform him that he’d have to pour it himself. As expected, he’d say he didn’t know how and that it’s not the customer’s job to pour their own drink.
My response? ‘Since it’s your first time, I’ll help you, but from now on, you’ll have to do it yourself. Instructions on how are available online.’
The bank director would then ask to speak to the owner, to which I’d reply that, without an appointment, it would be impossible to speak to him.
Eventually, after he’d managed to pour a beer with great difficulty, I’d serve it to him and charge him for using the tap. For good measure, I’d also charge a 10% fee for providing change.
Can you imagine how hospitality customers would be treated this way? Well, that’s exactly how banks treat us. They charge extra fees, remain out of reach, and continue profiting off our money.
In my opinion, we are all service providers, and BANKS should offer SERVICE and show RESPECT for customers. After all, we pay for it."
