🤯Why I hate the words 'Authentic Leadership'....
Now that we're going on a bit of a rebellious and critical journey... I'll just say it: I don't believe in that. It suggests that there is one, unwaveringly “real” way of leading for you.
As a CEO, leader or entrepreneur you know that leadership is much more dynamic. It is about using the capabilities to adapt to the situations in which your effective behavior is required – authentic or not.
After all, you only learn outside your comfort zone. Can you do this in your own way? Naturally! But often you have to try methods that don't immediately seem “your way” until you shape it back into your own way. How do you use your leadership to create an organization in which critical thinking is the norm?
🧨Dare to fail: Create a culture where making mistakes is not a mark of failure, but an opportunity to learn and grow. Let your team experiment without fear of consequences.
🧨Conquer the space for critical questions: Constantly ask “Why do we always do it this way?” and don't be afraid to challenge the established order. Critical questions lead to innovation.
🧨Unlock Hidden Talent: Give everyone the space to share their unique ideas. By giving autonomy and trust, you activate the rebel in every team member.
🧨Lead with flexibility: Switch to what the situation requires and adapt your leadership style so that your team is activated and inspired again and again.
🧨 Build a compatible team: A compatible team does not mean that everyone thinks the same, but rather that diverse perspectives come together.
This stimulates innovation and creates a dynamic, resilient organization. It's about building an environment in which critical minds flourish and continuing to evolve as an organization!
Let's get out of the comfort zone! Curious about your thoughts!
