World of Olympic-style boxing meets this week in Pueblo, Colorado, for the World Boxing Cup: USA International Invitational. More than 120 participants from all continents will compete in the 13 Olympic weight categories from April 16th to 20th. Sixty of them have already qualified for Paris 2024.

After a long journey from Europe to the USA, I’ve already had time to explore the venue, which looks good, and to speak with USA Boxing President Tyson Lee, Chinese Boxing Federation President Chen Liren, the Chinese Taipei delegation, World Boxing Athlete Committee member, world champion Tammara Thibeault, with former World Boxing Interim Board member Karina Picson, and others.

I believe that during the next five days, we will witness many competitive battles, which will showcase to the world the level of competition that WORLD BOXING aims to deliver.

Boxing is a sport that unites people worldwide, and I firmly believe it has a bright future ahead.

Boxing is deeply rooted in Mongolian culture, playing a key role in promoting a healthy lifestyle for the younger generation. This was a central point in my meeting today with Nomin Chinbat, Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia.
