Early life and education
Bart soon focused his training on sports, the human body and how to make it as fit as possible.
During his 4-year training at the CIOS, he was trained as an all-round trainer, sports masseur and manager, after which he started working in the fitness industry for a short time.
He signed up for the Royal Dutch Army and immediatly a world opened up for him. Inspiring trainers have taught him how to lead under extreme circumstances and how important the mental aspects are in carrying out your assignment and pursuing your goals.
Enthusiastic about the results he managed to achieve by stepping outside his comfort zone, he started training to become a red barret. This gave him the opportunity to work with one of the most exceptional units in the world. A fantastic time, seeing a lot of the world and training a lot of cool people. After 7 years of service, he was ready for the next chapter of his life. Entrepreneurship.
Career trajectory
Together with his buddy Rudy van Laere he made various business plans. One of the most challenging was "Pink Boxing". A concept that would be sold to gyms, just like well-known formulas such as Spinning, Zumba and Body Pump. A solution to get women to exercise in an accessible but at the same time cool and fun way.
Starting from small gymnasiums, the concept quickly expanded to several gyms that purchased the formula. The men of the boxing women also wanted to participate, but that was obviously not allowed because it would not fit within the rules of the formula. In the world of supply and demand, Bart and Rudy switched quickly and developed their second formula: "Cross Boxing". Due to these developments, they couldn't continue with their job in the army, so they started their company: "Boxing Company".
The Boxing Company was their gym but also their base from which they wanted to take over the world. They provided their boxing lessons, Personal Training, education for the trainers and conducted sales and service from there. They had the momentum and quickly grew past 60 licenses.
COVID-19 held back growth considerably. It was adapt or collapse. The potential customers for the Pink Boxing and Cross Boxing formulas (other gym-owners) were having a hard time and there was little chance that they would have money for a new concept.
In order to maintain influence on growth, the Boxing Company opened two additional Boxing Company locations.
There are now 6 Boxing Company locations where many people can get fit in a fun way. Always guided by a professional, with high-quality training they become part of a community that produces life-changing results.
Legacy and future
Bart Voet: "It's all about getting as many people as fit as possible with the greatest impact possible. If you do this alone, your reach will be small. If you do this with many, it will be large."
With the Boxing Company formula they want to help trainers create their own gym that helps people achieve their goals in a fun and high-quality way. To create a place where people come together and are part of. Who inspires them to make healthy decisions in life without pulling them out of balance.
From 2024 they will expand their ambition to take over the Netherlands. Once they have succeeded, it is the rest of the world's turn.
