Marketing Report is a news and content platform for professionals in marketing, advertising, market research and media.

Africa Business Communities is a news and content platform for professionals working in and with Africa.

As founder and owner of these companies I operate from The Netherlands. The team of 20 people working for these 2 companies are based in The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya and Rwanda.

Early life and education

I was born and raised in a village near Alkmaar. I moved to Amsterdam to study Economical Geography at the University of Amsterdam. In this period I lived several months in Egypt, where I did study Arabic. www.marketingreport.nlSince 22 years I live and work in Haarlem.

Career trajectory

After my studies, I worked as a tour guide in Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Venezuela, Colombia, Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

After that I started writing touristical guidebooks on Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mali, Burkina Faso and Switzerland.

In 1998 I started my career as a marketing and media journalist. On 1 January 2000 I became an entrpreneur and have been ever since.
