My name is Frits Huffnagel, namesake of the sole proprietorship Frits Huffnagel, City Marketing & Communication. So I am self-employed. Officially the abbreviation of Self-employed Without Personnel, although I often say Self-employed Without Pension (accrual). I advise, present and manage. I was born in 1968. My father was Hans Philip Huffnagel and my mother Tini Ligtermoet. They named me after my grandfather Godfried Eliza Huffnagel (nicknamed Frits), the son of Philip Huffnagel. My father worked in development cooperation all his life and was director of agriculture at the Royal Tropical Institute, grandfather was director of a pension fund and writer under the name Frits Huël and his father was a colonel with the Engineers. Huffnagel is a family originally from Hesse, two brothers of which settled in Amsterdam at the end of the 18th century.

A true bazaar. The smell and what can be seen and bought are truly unique! Fascinated by cultures in countries such as India, Thailand and Morocco, Danny started collecting items such as rugs, figurines and scented candles. '…and I got the idea to open a shop. It worked. And you know what's so special? I have been walking happily to my store for 25 years now, where the people who come in are also happy.' Danny de Cactus is open five days a week; from Wednesday to Sunday. Everyone who buys something from Danny de Cactus will receive a scented sachet. 'A scent is an experience, because it offers you a memory of the moment you first smelled this scent.' In Dutch : Alsof je een sprookje uit duizend en één nacht binnenloopt. Of de hut van Alladin. Danny de Cactus in het verlengde van de Witte de With is een magische cadeauwinkel bomvol geuren en kleuren en exclusieve woondecoraties uit Verweggistan. Je vindt er cactussen, dienbladen, grand foulards, hangmatten, kralengordijnen, sieraden, mozaïeklampen, waterpijen, wierrook, poefen, kussens, lampen en spiegels en nog veel meer.
