Yesterday I was allowed to open the Academic Year together with Anke van Hal on Nyenrode Business University.
I was asked to give a thought-provoking speech about the sustainable state of the world and what that could mean for Nyenrode.
Interestingly, Nyenrode University was founded in 1946 by companies such as KLM, Philips, Unilever and Shell.
The intention was that the University would contribute to the reconstruction of the Netherlands after the 2nd World War.
It was a great honor to interview and film Professor Antonio Parreira together with Professor Jacques van Dongen in Lisbon,

African students constituted nearly half of all foreign students in France in 2023, well ahead of those from the more mobile and populous European and Asian countries, including India and China.
The Africans constituted 47% of the total number of 412,087 foreign students enrolled in French institutions and nearly 7% of all students in the country – a substantial figure, considering that foreign students accounted for 14% of all students in the country’s tertiary institutions in the academic year 2022-23.
